SPAIN is the third of Europe's biggest countries. It covers most of the Iberian Peninsula, as well as the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and two enclaves in Morocco. It is famed for warm and sunny climate, hot summers and mild winters. Spain is also referred to as a "country of the sun" and serves as a traditional holiday spot for many tourists. We offer our clients a chance to discover the exotic side of Spain. We will take you to the beautiful mountains and allow you to size two highest summits: Pico de Aneto in the Pyreenes and Mulhacen in Sierra Nevada range.

Scheduled program

Katowice - Andora - Pico de Aneto (3404 m AMSL) - Madrid - Granada - Mulhacen (3478 m AMSL) - Barcelona

We pass Germany and France to reach Andorra. Our first destination is Pico de Aneto (3404 m AMSL)- one of the summits of Maladeta massif. To reach the top of the mountain we have to travel to the town of Benasgue from where we set off to the Esera valley. We spend the night in Refugio de la Renclusa, and next morning we continue to climb Glaciar de Aneto. The road is not difficult and after few hours we should see the peak. Having this task completed we go south passing and sightseeing Madrid on our way. From the capitol we go onward to Granada that lies at the feet of Sierra Nevada mountain range in the region of Andalucia. Here we try to size the mountain of Mulhacén (3483 m AMSL)- the highest summit of continental Spain. It took its name from Mullay Hassan, a legendary ruler of Granada who is buried at the scene. The summit is not hard to complete and we will have a chance to admire the whole panorama of National Park of Sierra Nevada. On our way back we take the road down the coastline to Barcelona and we pay a visit to few tourist friendly villages. The biggest advantage of this journey is that the Spanish mountains are not as crowded as Alps and our participants will be offered a pleasant trip without noisy tourists and queues.
